Mark cleared up the rumor via myspace bulletin:

hello all. the rumors abound today! and as much as we love the ATL, (+44) is NOT performing there tonight. we are still happily in the studio finishing up the album. today i am laying down some sweet bass lines and singing. the part is pretty aggressive and growly, so i'm using "petey," the fender precision bass that i used on most of the tracks from "enema of the state." it is one of the best sounding basses ever and i bought it off the rack at guitar center. i can't wait. okay, i am going to put new strings on and get into it. talk to you all soon. craig says hi to everyone.
